Founded by the Machani Group over two years ago, Vayati Weaves is dedicated to uplifting the ancestral weaving community in Yemmiganur, Andhra Pradesh. Through its initiative, Vayati Weaves, the brand seeks to create a confluence of India's textile traditions, through collaborations among weavers, dyers, printers, and embroiderers to redefine handmade Indian textiles. Vayati's mission is to provide artisans with pride and dignity in their craft heritage by showcasing their work internationally and connecting with the right audience.

In my role as the design head, I spearheaded the launch of Vayati's first Home Linen collection, named Dhaani. This collection is a collaboration with the Pattu Weaving Cluster of Rajasthan and the in-house weavers of Yemmiganur. Developed and produced over a year by a small team of two designers, the collection follows the sophisticated Japandi aesthetics. Each piece is meticulously crafted and stitched by some of the finest craftspeople, reflecting its dedication to quality and craftsmanship.
